The 3D models used to create these renderings are controlled by coupled physical simulations and impact models. They represent a real location and were created to test linkages between simulations (e.g., ADvanced CIRCulation model), digital assets (e.g., debris object models, textures), and databases (e.g., objects located in the 6 sq. km study area). The projected outcomes pose numerous problems such as compounding uncertainty (e.g., the probability of the event, natural and physical interactions) and predictions that exceed the resolution of the underlying numerical model, and thus have primarily been used for developing necessary scripts and linkages. Many of the numerical simulations necessary to control these 3D models now underpin work to project impacts and debris fields. This work was created in 2014-2015.
